AKC
Breeder of Merit
Minarets started out
with GSD in 1968. My husband and I competed in obedience.
After a gift toy poodle converted us, we bought Minarets Charca Negra
CD in 1981. I showed her as a puppy and needed help with the
show clips. At a show I met Janet Blannin from Palmares
Kennels. She has been a great friend and a wonderful source of
knowledge as well as being willing to share her dogs with
me.
At
this point I have red and apricot standards. I show in breed,
obedience and rally. I play with agility, tracking and herding.
Several of my puppies have gone to hunting homes. I have
participated with the local obedience club and their visits to nursing
homes and schools. I enjoy sharing my dogs.
Our goal is to produce healthy, happy, beautiful red and apricot
standards. I have 1 to 2 litters a year. Sometimes there
are older pups for sale. Stud service is available to approved
bitches only. The dogs old enough for breeding are on the OFA
website and have had their hips, eyes, cardiac and thyroid testing
done and are DNA clear for vWD, NE and DM.
